Location
This holiday home is located in the area called "Seru Bottelier" ("The mountain of Bottelier"). The area is nicely landscaped and includes beautifully built houses and villas. Because of the very central location, Bottelier offers a wonderful base for day trips and evening entertainment. And the view ... it's priceless! For the locals, this area has also been a very popular place to live on Curacao.
Villa Bottelier is almost on top of the mountain of Bottelier, offering a direct view on to the caribean sea. From the veranda you will have a magnificent view of the Jan Thiel Lagoon, and the Table Mountain. On clear days, you can even see as far as the shorelines of Venezuela!
Surroundings
In the immediate vicinity of Villa Bottelier Curacao, you will find some local snackbars and shops, as well as a very well assorted supermarket (Vreugdenhil). The locally famous Dutch bakery 'The Sun' for your fresh bread and morning newspaper is only 5 minutes away.
More importantly, sea and beaches are very nearby as well. The beaches of Jan Thiel and Caracasbay as well as Seaquarium with it's Dolfin theatre and famous Mambo Beach are only a 5-10 minutes drive away. The water sports facilities in the Spanish Water, many restaurants and even Willemstad, with its picturesque and historical sites, are only a 10-15 minute drive away.
The centre of Willemstad is a fun and safe area for shopping, having a drink at the famous Handelskade or having dinner in the beautifully restored Rif fort, overlooking the many cruise- and container ships that enter Curacaos Seaport .
